When it comes to sourcing great products to sell, AliExpress has been the “300 Pound Gorilla” in the dropshipping industry since they’ve made it so easy and inexpensive to get started dropshipping.
For example, pretty much every dropshipping automation app easily integrates with AliExpress so that you can automate most of the tasks related to running your dropshipping fulfillment through AliExpress.
They make it easy to research and find solid vendors to work with due to their feedback and rating system.
They also make it affordable to use their vendors because you only pay for items when you order them (usually after you’ve already been paid by your customer) and many times their ePacket shipping option is really cheap.
With all of that said, there are a number of reasons to look at AliExpress alternatives for your suppliers.
Shipping Times
One of the biggest reasons to consider finding AliExpress alternatives for dropshipping suppliers is that the vast majority of their vendors are in China, and it can take several weeks in shipping time for your customers to receive their orders.
Not only does it annoy your customers to wait so long to receive their orders, advertising platforms like Facebook Ads actually penalize your long shipping times via higher advertising costs and even suspending advertising accounts if you get too many complaints for shipping times.
Yes, Facebook does, in fact, monitor shipping times as a customer satisfaction feedback point and they will drive your advertising costs higher if they get feedback that their user's order times are really long.
International Politics
Right now, there is a lot of talk and debate about the United States imposing new tariffs and/or ending the steep shipping discounts that the US Postal Service currently offers China.
If the US imposes new tariffs, the cost of products you order through AliExpress vendosr in China will increase and could erase any pricing advantage they offer, and may even make them more expensive.
And is the shipping discounts are removed, then the super cheap shipping discounts will be gone and the cost to ship Chinese products will jump, again eating into or completely eliminating any profit margins you may have been enjoying.
As a result, your product and shipping costs would be higher, and you’ll still have long shipping times, so AliExpress may no longer be worth ordering products through,
There are a lot of other reasons to consider looking into dropshipping suppliers outside of AliExpress, but the two reasons above are really the two biggest factors.
With that said, what platforms or other AliExpress alternatives exist that address and/or solve those issues above that dropshippers should consider?
AliExpress Alternatives That Work With Many Dropship Automation Apps
The good news is that many dropshipping automation apps have a lot of alternatives to choose from that they easily integrate with.
For example, Dropified works with over 80 other “One Click Supported Websites” and supplier platforms that they integrate with and import products from.
You simply choose the website/platform you want to import products from inside the Dropified user dashboard, and you’re ready to start importing products.
Most of these supplier sites are based in the U.S., so you’ll avoid the issues we addressed above:
- Fast shipping times with orders being received in just days, which means happier customers and potentially lower advertising costs from Facebook…
- No international issues like increased tariffs or shipping costs to worry about…
So, if you’re ready to start exploring platforms and websites outside of AliExpress…
…here’s a list of the current “One Click Supported Websites” that Dropified offers easy integration with that you can source products from:
Hello,
