Dow's 663-point fall led by losses in Chevron, Boeing shares

Dragged down by negative returns for shares of Chevron and Boeing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is slumping Friday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -2.10% was most recently trading 663 points, or 2.2%, lower, as shares of Chevron CVX, -6.45% and Boeing BA, -5.94% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Chevron’s shares have fallen $9.59, or 6.2%, while those of Boeing have dropped $8.47, or 6.1%, combining for an approximately 119-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Caterpillar CAT, -4.60%, Goldman Sachs GS, -4.33%, and Dow Inc. DOW, -2.90%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.59-point swing.
