Dow falls nearly 575 points on losses in shares of Boeing, Chevron

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is in a selloff Friday morning with shares of Boeing and Chevron facing the biggest losses for the price-weighted average. Shares of Boeing BA, -6.23% and Chevron CVX, -6.34% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -2.26% was most recently trading 573 points, or 1.9%, lower. Boeing’s shares are down $7.97, or 5.8%, while those of Chevron have fallen $8.73, or 5.6%, combining for an approximately 110-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Goldman Sachs GS, -4.57%, Caterpillar CAT, -4.51%, and Dow Inc. DOW, -3.61%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
