Nike, Travelers share losses contribute to Dow's 515-point drop

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is in a selloff Tuesday afternoon with shares of Nike and Travelers delivering the stiffest headwinds for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, -1.68% was most recently trading 515 points lower (-1.7%), as shares of Nike NKE, -4.77% and Travelers TRV, -2.89% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Nike’s shares have fallen $5.34 (5.0%) while those of Travelers are off $5.39 (3.3%), combining for a roughly 71-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Home Depot HD, -3.15%, Caterpillar CAT, -3.09%, and JPMorgan Chase JPM, -2.62%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
