Nike, Apple Inc. share gains lead Dow's nearly 100-point climb

Shares of Nike and Apple Inc. are trading higher Monday afternoon, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.63% is trading 92 points, or 0.3%, higher, as shares of Nike NKE, +2.95% and Apple Inc. AAPL, +2.38% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. Nike’s shares are up $2.67 (2.6%) while those of Apple Inc. are up $2.90, or 1.9%, combining for a roughly 37-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Caterpillar CAT, +1.69%, Home Depot HD, +1.67%, and Travelers TRV, +1.21%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
