Dragged down by losses for shares of Walmart and Home Depot, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday morning. Shares of Walmart WMT, +1.32% and Home Depot HD, -0.89% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, +0.41% was most recently trading 131 points lower (-0.4%). Walmart’s shares have dropped $10.74, or 8.1%, while those of Home Depot have fallen $8.07, or 2.6%, combining for a roughly 124-point drag on the Dow. Nike NKE, +1.13%, Salesforce Inc. CRM, +3.17%, and Microsoft MSFT, +4.45% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
