Dow's 200-point drop led by losses for Intel, Home Depot shares

Shares of Intel and Home Depot are trading lower Wednesday morning, dragging the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow DJIA, -0.43% was most recently trading 201 points lower (-0.6%), as shares of Intel INTC, -4.53% and Home Depot HD, -1.34% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Intel’s shares are off $1.96 (4.5%) while those of Home Depot have declined $5.84, or 1.9%, combining for a roughly 51-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are 3M MMM, -1.13%, Amgen Inc. AMGN, -0.68%, and Honeywell International Inc. HON, -1.08%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.59-point swing.
