IBM, Procter & Gamble share gains lead Dow's nearly 200-point jump

Shares of IBM and Procter & Gamble are trading higher Wednesday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.95% is trading 195 points higher (0.6%), as shares of IBM IBM, +6.07% and Procter & Gamble PG, +2.71% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. IBM’s shares have gained $6.10 (4.7%) while those of Procter & Gamble are up $4.33 (2.7%), combining for a roughly 69-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Home Depot HD, +1.70%, Cisco CSCO, +2.50%, and Walmart WMT, +1.36%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
