Good morning

Youri Tielemans is being linked with Arsenal, while Aston Villa close on £25million Everton left-back Lucas Digne.

Leicester star man Tielemans’ agent is reportedly in talks with the Gunners.

Liverpool are also keen on the Belgium superstar.

And hot on the heels of recruiting Philippe Coutinho, new boss Steven Gerrard underlined a new era of spending for Villa by pouncing for Frenchman Digne.

Manchester United are reportedly prioritising a midfield anchorman and right-back.

It’s claimed the Red Devils have joined Arsenal in pursuing Borussia Mönchengladbach‘s Denis Zakaria.

And United share Newcastle’s interest in RB Leipzig ace Amadou Haidara, as well as fancying Wolves’ star man Ruben Neves.

Tariq Lamptey, 21, has veered onto United’s radar but Brighton rate him at £40m – £10m more than United’s valuation.

On the pitch, VAR denied Spurs three times as Chelsea reached the Carabao Cup with a 1-0 away win – via Antonio Rudiger –  and 3-0 aggregate success.

And Jarrod Bowen’s double put West Ham fourth in the Prem with a 2-0 home victory, bottom side Norwich’s sixth successive Prem defeat.
