NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed higher in the Tuesday’s session.
Future Consumer(up 5.37%), Umang Dairies(up 4.89%), Marico(up 2.45%), Nestle India(up 1.73%), Dabur India(up 1.34%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.17%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 0.81%), Britannia Industries(up 0.71%), Prataap Snacks(up 0.71%) and P & G Hygiene(up 0.67%) stood among the top gainers.
Nakoda Group(down 2.48%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 2.15%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.83%), Emami(down 1.78%), ADF Foods(down 1.63%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 1.55%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.39%), Zydus Wellness(down 1.20%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.09%) and Dangee Dums(down 0.73%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 46.0 points up at 17991.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 148.53 points at 60284.31.
Titan Company Ltd(up 5.51%), Bajaj Auto(up 3.29%), State Bank of India(up 2.93%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.87%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.29%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.06%), Eicher Motors(up 2.03%), Nestle India(up 1.73%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.61%) and ITC(up 1.37%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies(down 4.03%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.94%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.84%), Coal India(down 1.8%), Shree Cement(down 1.13%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.09%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.89%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.88%), Grasim Industries(down 0.85%) and ICICI Bank(down 0.66%) closed in the red.
