Dow Inc., Goldman Sachs share gains contribute to Dow's nearly 100-point climb

Shares of Dow Inc. and Goldman Sachs are seeing strong returns Friday morning, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Dow Inc. DOW, +2.13% and Goldman Sachs GS, +1.92% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.42% was most recently trading 98 points, or 0.3%, higher. Dow Inc.’s shares are up $1.45 (2.4%) while those of Goldman Sachs are up $6.62 (2.0%), combining for an approximately 53-point bump for the Dow. Salesforce.com Inc. CRM, +1.47%, Caterpillar CAT, +1.36%, and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +1.45% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
