JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs share gains contribute to Dow's 175-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Thursday morning with shares of JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs seeing positive growth for the index. The Dow DJIA, +0.49% was most recently trading 174 points (0.5%) higher, as shares of JPMorgan Chase JPM, +3.95% and Goldman Sachs GS, +3.18% have contributed around a third of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. JPMorgan Chase’s shares have climbed $6.01, or 3.9%, while those of Goldman Sachs have risen $11.04 (3.2%), combining for a roughly 112-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Honeywell International Inc. HON, +2.38%, UnitedHealth UNH, +2.51%, and Home Depot HD, +1.69%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.58-point swing.
