Dow Inc., Chevron share losses lead Dow's 100-point fall

Shares of Dow Inc. and Chevron are seeing declines Monday morning, dragging the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow DJIA, -0.01% was most recently trading 104 points (0.3%) lower, as shares of Dow Inc. DOW, -2.55% and Chevron CVX, -1.98% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Dow Inc.’s shares are down $1.63 (2.5%) while those of Chevron are down $2.51 (2.3%), combining for an approximately 27-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Goldman Sachs GS, -1.40%, American Express AXP, -1.58%, and Microsoft MSFT, -1.28%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.58-point swing.
