Dow drops 150 points on losses in shares of Home Depot, Apple Inc.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday afternoon with shares of Home Depot and Apple Inc. delivering the stiffest headwinds for the blue-chip average. Shares of Home Depot HD, -4.38% and Apple Inc. AAPL, -3.44% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.54% was most recently trading 157 points (0.5%) lower. Home Depot’s shares are down $12.69 (4.6%) while those of Apple Inc. are off $4.00, or 3.2%, combining for an approximately 110-point drag on the Dow. Inc. CRM, -3.12%, Nike NKE, -2.18%, and Walmart WMT, -1.78% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.58-point swing.
