Dow's 75-point climb led by gains for shares of Visa, Procter & Gamble

Shares of Visa and Procter & Gamble are trading higher Thursday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Visa V, +1.66% and Procter & Gamble PG, +1.01% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.23% is trading 78 points higher (0.3%). Visa’s shares have climbed $3.33 (1.6%) while those of Procter & Gamble have risen $1.53, or 1.1%, combining for an approximately 32-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include UnitedHealth UNH, +0.95%, Microsoft MSFT, +0.78%, and Coca-Cola KO, +0.68%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.58-point swing.
