Dow drops nearly 125 points on losses for Walt Disney, Chevron shares

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading down Monday afternoon with shares of Walt Disney and Chevron delivering the stiffest headwinds for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, -0.56% was most recently trading 121 points lower (-0.4%), as shares of Walt Disney DIS, -3.55% and Chevron CVX, -3.28% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Walt Disney’s shares have declined $5.95 (3.4%) while those of Chevron have declined $3.09 (3.3%), combining for an approximately 59-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include American Express AXP, -2.37%, Merck MRK, -2.39%, and Johnson & Johnson JNJ, -2.19%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
