Goldman Sachs, American Express share losses contribute to Dow's 50-point fall

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down Friday afternoon with shares of Goldman Sachs and American Express seeing the biggest declines for the index. Shares of Goldman Sachs GS, -2.34% and American Express AXP, -1.81% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, +0.01% was most recently trading 49 points (0.2%) lower. Goldman Sachs’s shares are off $5.94 (2.4%) while those of American Express are down $2.26 (1.9%), combining for an approximately 54-point drag on the Dow. Chevron CVX, -1.82%, Travelers TRV, -1.51%, and Intel INTC, -1.55% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
