Difficulty: Easy
Estimated Time: 2 Minutes

We’ve created a Dropified Orders Audit Tool for our Members, that allows you to monitor wholesale orders, to make sure that there were no issues. As Dropified is not a direct API (it is web browser automated for ease of use), connection disruptions or software bugs, can create periodic issues. To address that, Dropified has created the Orders Audit Tool for our members.

To use the Dropified Orders Audit Tool:

  • Log into AliExpress
  • Right click the Dropified Chrome extension
  • Select “Orders Audit”
  • Choose from the three audits
  1. The first option checks for Orphan AliExpress Orders
    1. Note: Checks for orders that are awaiting payment or completed in Shopify, but have not shown up in Dropified.
    2. Choose a date range for orphan orders.
    3. Hit “Start Orders Audit” to generate a report page
    4. Select the order status (“awaiting payment to the vendor” or “finished”)
    5. Click “Continue Audit” and the report will load
    6. Any orders that have not been linked to Dropified will appear in red. You may link them by clicking on them.
  2. The second option checks for dupliate orders
    1. Note: Orders can be duplicated if you click confirm more than once on AliExpress. This checks for duplicate orders.
    2. Choose a date range for duplicate orders.
    3. Hit “Start Orders Audit” to generate a report page
    4. Select the order status (“awaiting payment to the vendor” or “finished”)
    5. Click “Continue audit” and the report will load
    6. Cancel any duplicate orders by clicking on the red live order link
    7. Use the drop down menu to choose cancellation reason. In this case choose duplicate orders.
  3. The third option checks for wrong addresses
    1. Note: This checks for orders that have inconsistent shipping addresses between AliExpress and Dropified.
    2. Choose a date range for orders you want to check
    3. Hit “Start Orders Audit” to generate a report page
    4. If any orders show up with inconsistent addresses, both addresses from Dropified and AliExpress will be shown. From there you can amend the issue.

This feature is available in our dropshipping plan… to get started, be sure to subscribe,  log in, and then start using the Order Audit feature today!

Keeping track of orders from your suppliers and tracking product availability are critical to running an efficient and problem free e-commerce business. In the Dropified app, we’ve made it easier to track the data and review it at a glance, in one convenient location.

Popular products sell out quickly, until the supplier can refurbish stock from the manufacturer, and you will need to update your store to reflect out of stock status, to avoid customer service issues.

We recommend setting an alert in your calendar, to prompt you to review the price and availability information, at least three times per week, and alerts that can help flag you to an issue that requires action on your store. Navigate to the product section of your dashboard and then to alerts.

Price changes and product availability are organized into two lists on the same page. When you have received an alert in either category, you can use the open product button, to see the product in AliExpress, in the Shopify app, or on your website in Shopify. Once you have reviewed the alert and adjusted the product information (price or out of stock availability) you can archive the alert.

The archive is a helpful tool to also track vendors and items that are problematic (i.e., frequent price changes or stock issues that may influence your decision to keep or remove the product from your store).

The availability alert will also show you current products that are back in stock, allowing you to update your information in your store accordingly. You can view when a supplier product is offline (temporarily or permanently unavailable) and if the order availability changes, you will see a new alert, indicating it is back in stock and ready for orders. We are currently working on a new feature set, that will allow members to make products invisible, or swap the same product with another supplier on AliExpress.

Products with multiple variants can discontinue certain sizes or styles, which will prompt you to update the variant settings in your store (this saves your product description, name and other information you entered).

Creating Sale Items or Flash Discounted Products https://www.dropified.com/blog/creating-sale-items-or-flash-discounted-products/ https://www.dropified.com/blog/creating-sale-items-or-flash-discounted-products/#comments Sun, 30 Sep 2018 23:51:40 +0000 https://www.dropified.com/?p=9155

Difficulty: Easy
Estimated Time: 10 Minutes

Want to get your customers really excited about a special sale item or promo offer? You’ll need to create two separate entries for the product in Dropified.

One product will be featured in the category at the regular retail price (so that your customers can see what a deal they are getting), but before you create a page for flash deals, or other promotions, your sale page will feature duplicate but discounted products.

If you haven’t already added the product to your store, use AliExpress to add the product on a 1:1 ratio in Dropified. Find the product you wish to add, and click on the Dropified browser extension, and edit your product details, set the retail price, and assign it to your store.

Adding a product to Dropified (optional if the item you want to sell on flash sale is already in your store):

  • Go to AliExpress.
  • Find the item you would like to import into Dropified.
  • Click on the item to go to the product page.
  • While on the product page, click the Dropified Chrome extension.
    • The extension should import all the information including product title, description and photos before allowing you to send it to your store.
  • Send the item to Shopify by clicking the “Send to Shopify” button.
  • This will be the standard-priced version of the item.

To create the item-on-sale version:

  • Before leaving the product page, click on the Dropified Chrome extension again.
  • Rename the item to [Name of Product] Special Offer (or whatever you choose to have it called).
  • In the price box, enter the new sale price you want to sell the item for.
  • After making sure the product is to your liking, send the item to your Shopify store by clicking the “Send to Shopify” button.
    • Now both the regular retail price version and the sale version will be in your Shopify store as well as Dropified.

Starting the giveaway price:

  • Log into your Shopify store.
  • On the left side of your screen, go to “Products.”
  • Find the two versions of the product you want to give away.
  • On the standard retail price version, click the check box to the left of it.
  • At the top of your list of products, press the “Actions” button to reveal a drop down menu.
  • In the menu, select “Make product(s) unavailable.”
    • This will prevent customers from buying the non-sale price.
  • Make sure the giveaway version of your product is in your store.
  • Check the price, photos, name and specifications.
  • On the list of products in your store, click the box to the left of the listing.
  • Press the “Actions” button at the top of the list to reveal the drop down menu once more.
  • Select “Make product(s) available” to ensure the item is successfully listed in your store.
  • To double check, log out and check your store by entering your URL.

Create Dropified Boards to Organize Selected Products https://www.dropified.com/blog/create-dropified-boards-to-organize-selected-products/ https://www.dropified.com/blog/create-dropified-boards-to-organize-selected-products/#comments Sun, 30 Sep 2018 23:46:40 +0000 https://www.dropified.com/?p=9154

Difficulty: Easy
Estimated Time: 4 Minutes

With so many exciting products to choose from on AliExpress, you are going to want to create dropified boards to organize them during your product research.. We thought of that too.

In this tutorial, we share how easy it is to create boards, and provide some advice for organizing your products by category niche (it’s a real time saver for Members who have multiple e-commerce stores).

Simply log into AliExpress, and use the Google Chrome Dropified browser extension, and start selecting products your customers will love. When you first get started collecting products, they will appear in one group, under the Not Connected tab. If you have already set up your boards, each product will have a shortcut button (board) that provides a drop down list; simply choose the board you want to allocate the product to.

What is a board?

A board acts as a way to categorize the many different products you can sell in your store. By setting up boards, you can stay organized when customizing many different products at once rather than one by one.

How to set up boards:

  • Log into Dropified
  • From the home screen, select “Boards” under the “Products” tab from the menu on the left.
  • To set up your first board, press the blue “+Add Board” button.
  • Name your board by entering a title for it in the “New Board Name” dialogue box.
  • Press the green “+Add” button.
  • Your first board is now created. You can create many different boards using the same method.

How to add products to your boards:

  • Log into AliExpress
  • Use the Dropified Google Chrome extension to start selecting products you would like to add to your store.
  • Clicking the Dropified Chrome extension will open a drop-down window that scrapes the price, product photos and title from the product listing.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the drop-down window.
  • Next to the “Boards” text, click the drop-down menu and select the board you would like to add your product to.
    • Alternatively, any of these items not assigned a board will appear in the “Non Connected” tab of the “Saved Products” section in Dropified.
      • To access this section, log into Dropified. On the home screen, look under the “Products” tab in the menu on the left side of the screen.
    • Choose a board for these products by looking at the bottom right of the product listing, and pressing the blue-bordered “Board” button.
    • From the drop-down menu, you will be able to choose the board you want to add the product to or create a new board entirely.

Add Existing Shopify Products to Dropified https://www.dropified.com/blog/add-existing-shopify-products-to-dropified/ https://www.dropified.com/blog/add-existing-shopify-products-to-dropified/#respond Sun, 30 Sep 2018 21:16:46 +0000 https://www.dropified.com/?p=9145

Difficulty: Easy
Estimated Time: 5 Minutes

What if you already have products in your e-commerce store, that you didn’t add through AliExpress but you want to add existing shopify products to dropified? While most of our members migrate to importing products exclusively through AliExpress, you may have some high-volume products that you want to retain in your store.

Navigate to your Orders page on the Dropified dashboard. Any products that are external to AliExpress, will be labeled as Not Tracked (indicated in yellow) to help you identify them (and no supplier information will be available in the Dropified app for the product). If the product is already connected through AliExpress, it will be indicated in blue, with a drop down menu of options for order fulfillment and shipping, and complete supplier information.

To add existing products you have in Shopify to Dropified:

  • Log into Dropified.
  • On the left hand side of your screen, under the “Orders” tab of the menu, select “Place Orders.”
    • This area allows you to place orders as well as see orders that have already been placed.
  • In the list of placed orders, you can see which items are not already in Dropified by checking for the “Not ordered” and “Not tracked” signifiers attached to the products.
    • Products that are already linked through Dropified will show order numbers as well as give you more options to interact with the order.
  • Copy the product’s name.
    • Note this will only work if you have not already added a custom title to the product.
      • If you have changed the name in any way, you will either need to manually find the product from wherever its origin is.
  • Go to whatever site the product originally came from.
  • Paste the title of the product into the search bar at the top of the website. The product should appear after searching.
  • Find the product you want to migrate over, and click on it to go to the product listing.
  • Click the Dropified Chrome Extension to the right of your URL box.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the extension’s drop-down window.
  • Click the blue “Save for Later” button.
  • Click the blue “View in Dropified” button to view the item in Dropified.
  • At the top right of the product page in Dropified, click the “Connections” tab.
  • You will see the original product link from the origin site.
  • Below that is a blank box for the Shopify item URL.

To find the Shopify product URL:

  • Open a new tab and log into Shopify.
  • On the left hand side of the main Shopify screen, click the “Products” button on the menu.
  • Find the specific item you want to link to Dropified.
  • Click the item to open it.
  • At the top of your screen in the URL window you should see a URL that reads “[name of your Shopify store].myshopify.com/admin/products/[unique product URL].” Copy this URL.
  • Go back to the Dropified window. Paste the URL you copied into the “Product Link in Shopify” dialogue box.
  • Press save.
  • Return to your orders page
  • If you can now see the supplier, tracking information, etc., the migration has worked.
